F

Future Crafts.

We believe that the combination of traditional crafts and innovative making methods or materials can contribute to a sustainable future and society. We want to combine old and new knowledge and grow and consolidate our expertise for the future.

We do research on the potential of ecological materials, circular use and want to intervene on waste flows that often accompany larger industries within a linear economy.

The projects situated in Future Crafts also investigate social and economic potential of design and making practices: for example the connecting role that maker spaces can have in urban settings and the potential of cultural and creative industries as a catalysts for change in a variety of domains.

We aim to produce demonstrators, design models, licenses and spin-offs and work with individual companies or manufacturing industries towards a more sustainable future.
