Whether it concerns interior or exterior spaces, we view aesthetics as key to fostering a harmonious and sustainable relationship between people and their environment. Within our focus on research through design, we consider aesthetics a crucial means of ensuring that both designs and research outcomes make a genuine impact on society.
Through careful design, we create points of connection that enhance user engagement and foster a deeper emotional bond with objects, furniture, interiors, or landscapes. In doing so, we lay the foundation for lasting behavioural change.
Our research projects explore and test this process in a range of concrete contexts. With each aesthetic intervention, we strive for solutions with longer lifespans and a stronger user connection, in support of users’ well-being.
Our work results in tangible outcomes such as prototypes and design models. These not only serve as sources of inspiration, but also offer practical recommendations for creating aesthetic and sustainable environments that play a connective role in our society.
