Design thinking in higher education: call for contributions.

Are you a lecturer in higher education? Do you want to share your expertise in design thinking and AI and get inspired by other professionals? Then we kindly invite you to contribute to our international meeting 'Design Thinking in higher education', which takes place on 27 March 2025, at HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts. 

 

We believe that your participation will add value to pushing the boundaries of how design thinking and AI can transform higher education. Let's work together to build a vibrant community of practice and innovate our teaching strategies for the future.

Topics of interest

The topics of interest we want to address during the meeting are: 

  • AI and design thinking
  • Impact measurement 
  • Wicked problem solving ans design thinking
  • Entrepreneurial education and design thinking 

Submission

As a guidance for your submission, we suggest that you structure your abstract as follows: 

  1. Paper title
  2. Objectives of the course - what are the learning goals?
  3. Description and impementation of the design thinking course - please provide a detailed description of the key building blocks of the course. We encourage you to open the 'black box' of your course. 
  4. Results: how did you measure the impact of your approach on students or learning outcomes?
  5. Lessons learned: what are the key takeaways you wish to share?
  6. What challenges did you encounter and what questions would you like to discuss with the community of colleagues and professionals?

Please note that abstracts should not exceed 800 words (excluding references). The author's name should not be mentioned in any way.
