Of all the themes under HOGENT's sustainability policy, education is the theme with which we can have the greatest impact in the long term. With more than 17,000 students and more than 6,000 new starters every year, HOGENT can deliver countless professionals who, in turn, with the necessary sustainability competences, have a lasting impact on others, both in a professional, social and personal context.

Sustainability in every study programme? Yes we scan!
Sustainability is 1 of the 4 societal priorities that HOGENT aims to incorporate into its education. To ensure that the educational vision is embedded in every study programme, the ‘Educational Vision Scan’ was developed. Through a series of statements, the teams gain a better understanding of how well their study programme is currently performing on these societal priorities. Based on these insights, they can formulate follow-up actions and gain inspiration to take further steps, both in small increments and on a larger scale.
